Any cannabiniod that is either extracted with non-hydrocarbon chemical methods (aka, anything but using Butane and similar hydrocarbons to extract), or, most-commonly produced as conversion of another cannabinoid.

Delta-8 does naturally occur on Cannabis, but in very trace amounts. Therefore, it is only really obtained for consumer use by the conversion of CBD to Delta-8. Thus, it is a synthanoid. Consumers will only ever interact with this in appreciable manners when it is converted from CBD in a lab.
